According to an update from the Janesville Police Department, they are investigating a suspicious activity incident that occurred at the Marshall Middle School Rec Night. Officers initially received a second-hand report of two students being in a bathroom stall at the same time. The Dean of Students from Marshall Middle School reviewed security footage from the hallway outside the bathroom, and video footage does not support that a crime was committed at this point. Officers from the Janesville Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident and identify those that may have been either a witness or involved, so a statement can be obtained. This is an isolated incident and there is no reason for public concern at this time. The police department does not have confirmation that a crime has been committed at this time, and they are continuing to investigate the incident.
