According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin, 47 year old Brian Garbe of Janesville was sentenced yesterday to five years in federal prison for receiving child pornography. The prison sentence will be followed by 10 years of supervised release. Garbe pleaded guilty to the charge earlier this year in June, and the offenses occurred numerous times between 2015 and 2018 when he made purchases from websites that exploit children. In 2018, agents searched his electronic devices and found over 1 thousand images and videos.
