An update to the story we brought you earlier this morning regarding the vehicle accident on US Highway 14, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office has reported that a 48 year old male from Janesville was ejected from his 1997 GMC and pronounced dead at the scene. He was traveling westbound and W. Highway 14 and crossed the centerline, resulting in a head-on collision with a semi tractor-trailer that was traveling eastbound. The GMC was fully engulfed in flames when emergency personnel responded. The driver of the semi, a 50 year old male from Albany, was uninjured. More information will be provided regarding the identity of the deceased driver from the Rock County Medical Examiners Office in the upcoming days.
