Janesville resident 57 year old Douglas Hearn is facing a charge of 2nd degree sexual assault of a mentally ill victim after an incident that occurred on March 26. The case was officially filed on June 8 and a $10 thousand bond was set. Hearn owns a nursing home in Milton, and he is to have no in-person contact with the business. He will only be granted one visit with police to gather his necessary belongings. Hearn will be allowed to work remotely with no visual interaction with the nursing home. He is also not to be within 100 feet of the business and cannot have any contact with the victim or their family. Hearn has an upcoming court appearance on June 20 at 10:15 a.m.
