Janesville Man Arrested for Hit and Run and 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety

According to a Rock County Sheriff’s Office press release, on May 6 at about 9:53 a.m., Patrol units responded to a hit and run traffic crash on W. US Highway 14 near N. County Trunk Highway F in Janesville Township. Upon arrival, the offending vehicle left the scene. The other vehicle was found to be occupied by a driver and passenger in the north ditch with heavy damage. It was later determined that the passenger in the vehicle had received injuries from the traffic crash.


This morning at about 9 a.m., Rock County Sheriff’s Office detectives located the suspect vehicle in the 1600 block of Winchester Place in the City of Janesville. Detectives were able to locate the owner of the 2011 Ford F350 pick-up truck, 33 year old Janesville resident Jason Erdmann, and executed a search warrant. Erdman was arrested for two counts of 1st degree recklessly endangering safety and hit and run causing injury. Erdmann will be scheduled for an initial appearance on June 20 at 1 p.m.
