Janesville Police have made an arrest after a vehicle was stolen and police were led on a chase. According to a media release, a resident reported their vehicle stolen on Tuesday. On Wednesday that same vehicle, identified as a Mitsubishi Outlander, was seen following an Amazon delivery truck trying to steal packages as they were delivered. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but due to unsafe conditions the pursuit was stopped. The vehicle was located around 5:30 PM Wednesday near Centerway Drive and Parker Street Officers quietly followed the vehicle until they were able to take it and the driver into custody, arresting Patrick Ryan, who is on probation and was just released on August 13. Several items were located in the vehicle, and police are attempting to locate the owners. Ryan’s release comes from similar charges that he was arrested for on May 16.
