According to a Rock County Sheriff’s Office press release, 29 year old Dylan M. Demrow was taken into custody when officers responded to a residence for a disturbance in the 4200 block of W. Hanover Rd. in Janesville on Saturday at about 4:30 p.m. While officers were responding, they were made aware that he had a firearm. Once on the scene, officers attempted to get Demrow outside of the residence, but he refused. Later, Demrow exited the residence but then barricaded himself in a vehicle on the property. At this point, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Negotiators were requested to assist in getting Demrow into custody. After several hours, Demrow peacefully surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. He was arrested for failure to comply with officer’s attempts to take a person into custody, probation violation, possession of a firearm by felon, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, battery or threat to a law enforcement officer, and disorderly conduct while armed. He will be scheduled for his initial court appearance at a later date and time this week.
