Janesville City Council Approves Submission of Grant Application to Wisconsin DOT

Last night at the Janesville City Council meeting, the council approved the submission of a grant request for funding through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s 2022 Transportation Alternatives Program. If the grant is awarded, the money would go towards the Fisher Creek Trail project on the city’s west side. The City of Janesville’s share under this grant program is 100% for design services and 20% of eligible construction project costs. The federal share is 80% of eligible construction project costs.
