Janesville City Council Approves Submission of Grant Application

At the Monday evening Janesville City Council meeting, they approved the submission of a grant application to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for funding through the 2022 Land and Water Conservation Fund and Stewardship Local Assistance Programs and the Recreational Trails Program. If awarded, the city would use this money to construct an off-road bicycle and pedestrian trail extending along Fisher Creek from W. Court St. to Rockport Rd. The grant would require a local match between 20 and 50 percent based on the type of Wisconsin DNR Grant awarded.
