Janesville City Council Approves Purchase for Woodman's Community Center

At the Monday evening Janesville City Council meeting, the council voted to purchase the 100 thousand square foot facility located at 2500 Milton Ave. to construct the Woodman’s Community Center; which would include an ice skating rink and a conference center. Cost of the facility is $1, plus about $6 thousand for property management and other costs. Now, the city will launch a design phase that will last for about 3-6 months. However, the City can still back out of the project and give the site back to its original owner. More information on this story will be given as it becomes available.
