Janesville City Council Approves Multi-Way Stops at Two Intersections

At this week’s Janesville City Council meeting, they approved an ordinance requiring a multi-way stop at the River Street and West Milwaukee Street, as well as the Jackson Street and West Milwaukee Street intersections. During a Council Study Session on July 15, the City Engineer presented traffic study results for the intersections of River Street and West Milwaukee Street and Jackson Street and West Milwaukee Street; which detailed the two intersections entering volume, sight distance, and preventable crash history based on criteria established in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways.
