Green County Sheriff's Office Releases Name of Janesville Man Who Died in Single Vehicle Accident

In a press release from the Green County Sheriff’s Office, they have released the identity of the passenger involved in a single vehicle fatal crash that occurred on December 24 in Albany Township. He was identified as 44 year old Santos Pascual Velasquez Lopez from Janesville. Investigation revealed that the red 1999 Ford Ranger pickup was traveling eastbound on County Highway EE when the vehicle entered the gravel ditch on the south side of the road. The vehicle operator over-corrected and entered the north ditch, where it traveled down a steep embankment into a field. The vehicle rolled before coming to a rest on the vehicle’s roof. The incident is being investigated by the Green County Sheriff’s Office and Green County Coroner.
