Governor Tony Evers Grants 33 Pardons; Two for Local Individuals

According to a press release from Governor Tony Evers, today he granted 33 pardons, with two pardons of individuals in our listening area. Palmyra resident Jacob Dredske was 18 when he drove friends to purchase a controlled substance. He now maintains steady employment with a car dealership. Burlington resident Brian Kaspar was 19 when he sold marijuana to an undercover officer on three occasions about 30 years ago. He now owns and operates an auto dent removal business.

A pardon is an official act of forgiveness that restores the rights lost when somebody is convicted of a felony; including the right to serve on a jury, hold public office, and hold certain professional licenses. A pardon does not expunge court records.
