According to a news release, Genia Stevens, who currently represents District 17 on the Rock County Board of Supervisors, is seeking to retain her seat on the County Board while also running for Beloit City Council. Stevens has been named one of Wisconsin’s Most Influential Black Leaders, and she is the Chair of the Beloit NAACP Economic Development Committee and is a member of Beloit’s Equal Opportunities Commission.
