Friday Structure Fire in Palmyra

According to an update from Palmyra Public Safety, at about 10:45 a.m. on Friday the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received a 911 call reporting a structure fire at a home in the N1800 block of Parkview Circle in the Town of Palmyra. First arriving units found heavy fire conditions in the garage with fire extension into the home's attic. Palmyra responders requested a MABAS box for additional resources and the call was ultimately upgraded to the second box level. There were no injuries to home occupants or pets, and no firefighters were injured. The residents are being assisted with housing by their insurance carrier. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
