Fort Atkinson Show Choir Heading To Nationals
Fort Atkinson High School’s show choir is going to the national finals. The Daily Union reports that the South High Street Singers took part in a virtual show-choir competition on March 13, where they won Grand Champion, and several singers won individual awards over schools in Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, Mississippi and Wisconsin, and advanced to the National Finals. The choir performed their show live in the virtual setting, with a feed of the performance sent to judges and audiences on the showchoirlive.com website. The three adjudicators then grade the choir on their performance in several categories and the scores are combined to form a total score. There are three classes in the competition, and Fort was competing in the Large Mixed Gender class. The group received 289 out of 360 total points. The finals will be held on April 10.
