According to a Rock County Sheriff’s Office press release, yesterday at about 6:10 p.m., they responded to a trespassing complaint on South Milner Rd. in Bradford Township. A white Chevrolet S-10 pickup had driven to the dead end of the road and onto the private property at the location. The truck then went over a steep berm and down into an adjoining gravel pit on East Rye Drive. Officers made contact with the driver, 36 year old Timothy Roberts from Fort Atkinson, and he attempted to drive out of the gravel pit but was stuck. Wisconsin State Troopers, Clinton Police, and Clinton and Beloit Fire/EMS also responded to assist deputies to get Roberts out of the gravel pit. Roberts showed signs of impairment and was ultimately arrested for 5th offense OWI. Additional charges may be forthcoming as a result of further investigation, and more information will be given as it becomes available.
