Former Rock County Sheriff Deputy Facing Multiple Sexual Assault Charges

According to a press release from the Wisconsin Department of Justice, former Rock County Sheriff deputy Gary A. Huber was arrested on December 13 in Fort Wayne, Indiana for multiple child sexual assault charges. Huber worked as a Rock County deputy sheriff from August 2016 through July of 2021, when he resigned to avoid internal investigation. Huber is charged with one count of first-degree child sexual assault of a child under age 13, one count of repeated sexual assault of a child, three counts of child enticement, two counts of causing a child under age 13 to view/listen to sexual activity, and three counts of exposing genitals, pubic area, or intimate part. In a press release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office regarding this incident, they stated that these incidents occurred before Huber was hired and the Sheriff’s Office is currently making arrangements for Huber to be returned to Rock County sometime next week for his initial court appearance.
