Five Janesville Students Arrested Following Physical Disturbance at Parker High School

According to an update from the Janesville Police Department, today at about 11 a.m. the Police School Liaison Officer observed a physical disturbance at Parker High School, and the officer along with school staff separated the disturbance, which involved five students. While attempting to de-escalate the situation, a male became physical with school district staff. During the arrest, the school liaison officer had to use force to gain control of the male. The school was placed in a temporary soft lockdown to mitigate the incident. During the lockdown, classroom instruction continued as normal. After investigating the incident, 4 students were arrested for battery and an additional student was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer. The incident has been resolved and the remaining student body was able to continue on with their regular school day.
