Fifth Person Arrested After Beloit Shooting

According to a statement from Beloit Police, they have taken a fifth person into custody as a result of the investigation into the Saturday night shooting on Dewey Avenue. 22-year-old Devonte Cordier of Beloit was taken into custody on three counts of attempted homicide and fleeing an officer. He was arrested in South Beloit and will be extradited back to Wisconsin. The Beloit Police Department thanks South Beloit PD for their efforts. The Dewey Avenue shooting on Saturday night caused non life-threatening injuries and was one of six shots fired incidents over the weekend in Beloit, including three that caused injury or death.
