According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Wisconsin, a federal grand jury returned an indictment yesterday on a Beloit man charged with distributing crack cocaine. 37-year-old Marcus Payton was charged with two counts of distributing crack cocaine between January 31 and February 3. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison on each count. More information on this story will be given if it becomes available.
