According to an update from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the EMS Flex Grant has been awarded to 442 emergency medical services (EMS) throughout the state in an effort to assist in the provision of emergency services, with 30 grants being awarded in our listening area. Governor Tony Evers directed the Department of Health Services to use the American Rescue Plan Act – State and Local Funds, to assist EMS providers throughout the state with funding to relieve budgetary effects of COVID-19 on services.
