Elkhorn and Edgerton Fire Departments Warning of Scam

According to an update from the Elkhorn Area Fire Department, nearby residents have been receiving spam text messages claiming to be from the fire department saying that t-shirts can be purchased by following a link. The Elkhorn Area Fire Department says that this is not from them, and the link should not be followed. The fire department will not solicit funds via social media, telephone, or text message. The Edgerton Fire Department is experiencing a similar problem.
