According to an update from the Edgerton Fire Department, they had their first ice rescue yesterday after a dog broke through the ice. When crews arrived the dog was about 50 feet from the shore with its hind legs in the water unable to self rescue. The fire department, equipped in cold water suits, were able to rescue the dog and the dog was turned over to its owner.
