Ed Gritzner to Become Lake Geneva's Next Chief of Police

According to a press release from the Lake Geneva Police and Fire Commission, they have selected Lieutenant Ed Gritzner to become the City’s next Chief of Police. Gritzner will succeed current Chief, Michael Rasmussen, who announced his desire to retire earlier this year. Gritzner began his Law Enforcement career in 1999 and joined the Lake Geneva Police Department in 2005, where he currently serves as Administrative Lieutenant. The transition will begin after compensation and benefits are negotiated between the City and Gritzner, and Chief Rasmussen’s last day of office is determined.
