According to the Roy Chapman Andrews Society, Dr. Phillip Currie has received the 2022 RCAS Distinguished Explorer Award. Currie has published hundreds of scientific articles and book chapters, and has authored, co-authored, or edited over 15 books. He has also given thousands of talks and interviews. His work has advanced the evolutionary link between dinosaurs and birds, and provided evidence of group behavior in carnivorous dinosaurs. Currie is a dinosaur paleontologist, museum curator, and professor at the University of Alberta.
