Darien Man Facing Charges Including 3rd Offense OWI

According to an update from the Lake Geneva Police Department, on June 26 at about 7:15 p.m. an officer was flagged down while on patrol and was informed of a hit and run crash that had just occurred in the 100 block of Center St. The officer obtained a description and registration for the striking vehicle. This vehicle was later located by another officer who attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle continued on but eventually stopped. The driver, 27 year old Darien resident Justin Joseph Haus, was issued citations for 3rd offense OWI, hit and run, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and failure to stop/fleeing. He was later released to a responsible party.
