Darien resident 40 year old Benjamin D. Plautz is facing a charge of 3rd offense OWI after an incident that occurred on April 28. On April 29 a $1 thousand bond was set and he was ordered not to possess or consume alcohol, and he must comply with an ignition interlock device order. Plautz cannot contact an involved victim and must avoid their residence/place of employment or any place they are located. He has an upcoming court appearance on May 31 at 8:30 a.m.
