According to an update from the City of Janesville, extensive construction activities at the Rock County Jail and Sheriff's Department complex (200 E. U.S. Highway 14) will impact bus stops along the Janesville Transit System's (JTS) 6: Beloit-Janesville Express (BJE) route. While construction continues, JTS has closed Bus Stops #212 (Jail and Sheriff's Department) and #328 (Juvenile Detention Center). A temporary bus stop has been placed approximately 50 yards from the entrance to the Rock County Jail off U.S. Highway 14. The 6: BJE route will continue to service the Rock County Health Department and Extension Office at Bus Stop #210. For questions, contact JTS at (608) 755-3150.
