Clinton Schools Discuss School Drawdown

Last night’s Clinton Community School District board meeting saw the district discussing the future of the elementary school building.

The district is going from 3 buildings to 2, and was looking to already have had an answer from the Village as to the plan for the building. That answer has been delayed. The board is looking for interagency partnership between them and the village, but is hamstrung by the timeline.

The district looks to abandoning the building in August 2022 and would need around a million dollars for the demo.

The village is set to receive a presentation regarding the situation on October 19 and the board decided to be patient and wait for the village to receive more information.
