City of Whitewater Expecting Increase in Water and Utility Rates

According to an update from the City of Whitewater, it is expected that a 24% increase will be necessary in water and utility rates to help pay for the new elevated water tower and replacement of water mains under East Main St. and Yoder Ln. The new water tower along Highway 12 will replace the retiring Starin Park water tower and reservoir at the corner of Starin Road and Fremont St., both of which are over 100 years old.
