According to an update from the City of Janesville, temporary water shutoffs will occur the week of June 20 for some residents in the city due to upcoming replacement of public side lead water services. Affected areas include:
Sherman Avenue from Richardson Street to Milton Avenue
Blaine Avenue from Prairie Avenue to Richardson Street
Richardson Street from Blaine Avenue to East Memorial Drive
Caroline Street from Glen Street to Walker Street
Contractors will notify affected customers with a door hanger 24 hours prior to work being started. Water shutoffs are estimated to be less than four hours in length. For questions, contact the Janesville Water Utility at (608) 755-3115.
