City of Janesville to Conduct Sewer Rehabilitation Work Beginning Next Week

According to an update from the City of Janesville, they will be conducting sewer rehabilitation work at various locations throughout the city beginning the week of December 20. The project is part of the City’s annual utility maintenance program and will continue until the end of April 2022. A contractor will be cleaning and installing a specialized cured-in-place lining material that adheres to the existing sewer mains, extending the overall lifespan of the infrastructure. This work utilizes trenchless technology and is less disruptive than traditional excavation methods. Traffic in the areas will be maintained during the installation process, though may sometimes be restricted to a single lane in each direction.
