City of Janesville Increases Housing Over 2021

Last night the City of Janesville held its State of the City Address to discuss Janesville’s growth of 2021. In 2021 the city worked with developers to increase housing units in the downtown area to 682, which is a 13% increase in just over 3 years. The city also issued 146 new housing starts in 2021; the highest total since 2007. 137 were new single-family homes, and 9 were duplexes.
