City of Janesville Discusses 2022 Budget

According to the City of Janesville, on Monday City Manager Mark Freitag presented the proposed 2022 budget for the city. The budget has bridged a projected $661,900 deficit to achieve a balanced budget that, for the first time since 2000, does not utilize reserve funds to support the general fund. The public can view the proposed budget by visiting, and the City Council will hold a Budget Study Session on Thursday, October 21 at 6 p.m. at city hall, where the public is encouraged to attend.
