City of Janesville Discusses 2022 Budget

According to the City of Janesville, on Monday City Manager Mark Freitag presented the proposed 2022 budget for the city. The budget has bridged a projected $661,900 deficit to achieve a balanced budget that, for the first time since 2000, does not utilize reserve funds to support the general fund. The public can view the proposed budget by visiting www.janesvillewi.gov/2022budget, and the City Council will hold a Budget Study Session on Thursday, October 21 at 6 p.m. at city hall, where the public is encouraged to attend.
