In an update from the City of Fort Atkinson, they have shared information regarding the watermain replacement construction project. All underground utility work has been completed, and grading for pavement has begun on Maple Street and Adrian Boulevard. Asphalt paving is scheduled for next Wednesday through Friday on Adrian Boulevard, Gail Place, Maple Street, Grove Street, and Spry Street. Driveways that need asphalt patches will be paved during this time as well. The city noted that it is important that the final layer of asphalt pavement is given adequate time to cool. Driving on it too soon or making static turns can easily damage the material. They ask that residents use alternative parking for at least 24 hours after paving.
