City of Fort Atkinson Approves Purchase of Squad Cars

At the Fort Atkinson City Council meeting on Tuesday night, they approved the purchase of two new squad cars for the police department. The purchase was to not exceed $88 thousand, but the price of the two vehicles will be slightly over $69 thousand. These funds are coming from the 2022 budget under capital improvement projects. There is a 6-8 month delivery delay from when the vehicles were initially purchased, which is why they are to be ordered at this time.
