City of Fort Atkinson Approves New Ward Map

At the Fort Atkinson City Council meeting on Tuesday, they approved the new ward map for the city. City Manager Rebecca Houseman Lemire was able to give more information, and discussed that every voters polling place will remain in the same location at the municipal building. Every ten years the city is required to redistrict ward boundaries based on US census data, with the assistance of Jefferson County to develop a ward map that meets the requirements of all state statutes.
