According to a press release from the City of Beloit, there have been some changes to the Beloit Transit system’s schedule and routes. Service times will begin as early as 5:30 a.m. on some routes, and all service will end at 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday service will continue running from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additional changes include:
Reducing time from Route 1 on the west side of town for improved timing with the Route 6
connection at Woodman’s transfer point.
Adding service to McNeel Intermediate School via Route 6.
Adding more convenient service to Copeland and Porter avenues via Route 6.
Route 1 will continue back downtown and Route 6 will continue to the east side of Beloit to
the Eclipse Center and Piggly Wiggly.
Route 6 goes past Beloit Memorial High School to have two buses serving the high school.
Route 2’s time was reduced to ensure it was meeting up with other buses at Piggly Wiggly.
The Gateway route will now service the Eagles Ridge neighborhood and include a stop at
Fran Fruzen Intermediate School.
