City of Beloit to Hold Informational Meeting on Cranston Rd. Improvements

According to a press release from the City of Beloit, Cranston Rd. between Milwaukee Rd. and Shopiere Rd. will soon be undergoing improvements to address safety concerns; beginning on November 29. Cranston Rd. has a history of accidents and speeding complaints, and changes to the road are designed to slow down traffic and reduce accidents. The project is expected to be concluded by the end of 2021, weather permitting. The project includes restriping Cranston north of Fuller to switch from four lanes of traffic to two lanes of traffic with a painted median and bike lanes. There will also be raised medians installed at Bootmaker Dr. to eliminate left turns. The City of Beloit is holding a public informational meeting to share plans for the project on Monday, November 22 at 2400 Springbrook Ct. from 4:30-5:30 p.m. If you have any questions, contact Scot Prindiville at the City of Beloit Engineering Division by calling (608) 364-6696.
