City Manger Updates at Janesville City Council Meeting

At last night’s Janesville City Council meeting, Mark Frietag discussed the lead service lateral replacement project during the city manager report. The city has replaced 65% of the 254 private side lead service laterals, and the remainder of the percentage is expected to be replaced by the end of this year. Additionally, he noted that all Assessor’s Office staff have achieved Assessor II or Assessor III certification, which are the highest certification levels through the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. The Assessor III level is necessary for communities with a commercial value at or above $1 billion, such as the city of Janesville.
