Burlington Man Charged In Connection to Shots Fired Incident

According to a press release from the Racine County Sheriff's Office, yesterday officers responded to the 350,000 block of Ridge Rd. in the Town of Burlington on a report of shots fired. Salvador Sanchez previously contacted dispatch saying he accidentally shot his wife, and said she was at the hospital seeking treatment. However, at the hospital the victim provided a statement inconsistent with his statement. Racine County Human Services was contacted, and Sanchez was taken into custody. He was charged with recklessly endangering safety and injury by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon.
