Beloit resident 22 year old India N. Jefferson is facing charges including carrying a concealed weapon, criminal damage to property with use of a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon, while Beloit resident 35 year old Christopher M. Carthans is facing charges of battery and strangulation and suffocation after an incident that occurred on September 17.
Both individuals appeared in court yesterday. Jefferson had a bond amount set of $500, while Carthans bond is $1 thousand. The two are to have no contact with each other, and Jefferson cannot have contact with an additional involved victim and cannot possess any weapons. They both have an upcoming court appearance on October 12 at 1 p.m.
