Beloit Police Using NHTSA Guidance To Prevent Vehicle Thefts

According to a Facebook post from the City of Beloit Police Department, they are sharing more information on car thefts as July is National Car Theft Prevention Month. The department ish sharing a graphic from NHTSA on the five easiest ways to prevent car thefts. They are: park in well lit areas, put away valuables, lock doors and windows, don’t leave keys in your vehicle, and never leave your vehicle while it is running. NHTSA also says that 44 % of all stolen cars are never recovered. The full graphic is posted to the City of Beloit Police Facebook page.
