Beloit Police Respond to Saturday Disturbance After MMA Event

According to an update from the Beloit Police Department, a disturbance broke out after an MMA event on Saturday in Beloit. The number of individuals involved in the fight required a significant law enforcement response from many jurisdictions, including Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Winnebago County, IL Sheriff’s Office, Town of Beloit Police Department, and South Beloit Police Department. The incident was swiftly stopped upon the arrival of law enforcement. Two arrests were made during the altercation. These individuals include 28 year old Glen Ellyn, Illinois resident Jesus M. Calderon for substantial battery and disorderly conduct, and 57 year old Rockford, Illinois resident Martin R. Barrera for misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct.
