A Beloit Police Officer was involved in a crash Sunday. The department says a driver rolled through a stop sign and hit the driver’s side of the vehicle. The officer was transported to the hospital with minor injuries while the other motorist was uninjured. The accident happened at the intersection of St. Lawrence Avenue and Bluff. Police say this intersection is a frequent location for accidents due to individuals rolling the stop sign. Police request motorists stop and look both ways before crossing the intersection. The officer is expected to be back at work soon, and police also say that their officers expect to be in an accident at some point with as much as they are driving.
