Beloit Police Make Arrest at Gas Station

According to an update from the Beloit Police Department, yesterday 51 year old Garvin T. Harley was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance at a gas station in the 1900 block of Shopiere Rd. at about 11:25 p.m. Harley locked the door with the cashier inside, and threw merchandise around the store while eating items and making threatening comments toward the cashier. Officers were able to talk Harley into opening the door and arrested him on charges of disorderly conduct while armed, false imprisonment, retail theft, criminal damage to property, carrying a concealed knife, and a Department of Corrections warrant.
