Beloit Police Arrest Man With Stolen Vehicle

According to an update from the Beloit Police Department, on Saturday at about 1:55 a.m. an officer noticed a vehicle with no rear lights illuminated on Shirland Ave. near State St. The vehicle came back as stolen, and the driver fled from police. After a pursuit, the suspect tried to flee on foot but was eventually caught by the officer and was taken into custody. The suspect, 35 year old William O. Jarnigan, was arrested for multiple charges and warrants including theft of an automobile, resisting or interfering with a police officer, bail jumping, possession of cocaine, fleeing an officer, and a fugitive charge.
