According to a press release from the Beloit Police Department, they announced the promotion of Police Officer James T. Mann to the position of sergeant. He was sworn in and received his badge last week on Friday. Sergeant Mann joined the police department in 2016. He is a defensive tactic instructor and a field training officer. Officer Mann was also one of the original members of the Bicycle Patrol Unit from July 2018 through January 2021.
