Beloit Man Facing Charges Including Resisting or Obstructing an Officer

Beloit resident 22 year old Steffon Serrel Carter is facing charges including three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping, disorderly conduct, resisting or obstructing an officer, attempting to disarm a peace officer, and attempted battery or threat to a judge, prosecutor, or law enforcement officer after an incident that occurred on March 27. On April 1 a $1 thousand bond was set, and he was ordered not to possess any weapons. He is also to have no contact with co-defendants Luther Hughes from Beloit or Patrick Butler from Janesville. The other two involved individuals face similar charges. Carter has an upcoming court appearance on April 20 at 1 p.m.
